It has been one weird adulting year.
Hello, We’re Newbie Homeowners,
It’s been nearly a year since I blogged. It’s been one weird ‘adulting’ year where we moved homes to my parents in a bid to secure our chance to become first time homeowners.
It hasn’t been the easiest. Consequently, the blog went to the back burner as I simultaneously attempted to be a mum, wife, business owner, student and now daughter (moved back home to embark on one exciting renovation experience). I missed blogging. I missed my blogging friends. So, I am taking time out to just write. Welcome to my first blog post in a long very long time.
No kind act is ever wasted.
Growing up, benevolent activities were the order of day. Kind random notes left in the #eveningstandard, on #southeasterntrains, or dashed in someone’s pocket. Even through eBay Sales, people would message back, describing the delight of finding a kind note alongside their purchase.
Motherhood happened and the random kindness focus centred around family life. However, watching Isabel sleep on the bus, buggy parked in a bus space that was advocated for wheelchair users, yet we buggy-iers benefit from it, combined with the constant fear of ‘how to be a good parent’ and raise a world and heaven citizen child (parenthood comes with NO manual)… it dawned!
Teach Isabel kindness to strangers by living it all again.
Live by example.
Let her watch.
If she can, let her emulate.
And she already does. From empathy filled sweet one words when I trip (clumsy me), to sharing her snacks with other kids at church.
Hence, thats the new additional spin to Cocospring, it’s that kindness lifestyle blog where I want you to join to make this world a ‘warm-fuzzy’ place again.
